A person who specializes in trees, their care, maintenance, and study, is often called an arborist or a tree surgeon. Arborists are trained professionals who are knowledgeable about the cultivation, management, and study of trees, shrubs, and other perennial woody plants. They may also be referred to as tree experts or tree specialists.
